Yoga Nidra / NSDR is a guided state of conscious rest that gently shifts the nervous system out of survival and into deep restoration while the mind remains awake. Rather than simply being a relaxation technique, Yoga Nidra is approached as a space where the wisdom of ceremony, spiritual teachings, and lived experience can gently settle into the body.
The body releases stored tension without force.
The brain integrates experience and recalibrates.
Subconscious patterns become available for gentle healing.
It down-regulates the nervous system after intense activation.
It allows insight to settle into the body rather than remain conceptual.
It prevents retraumatization by offering safety and containment.

The practice allows the body to enter a state of conscious relaxation where the nervous system softens and the mind becomes receptive to deeper layers of awareness. Yoga Nidra guides awareness through the five koshas, or sheaths of being. These are not abstract philosophies—they are direct experiential layers where medicine continues its work. In Yoga Nidra, the Sankalpa is offered when the subconscious is most receptive. The Sankalpa becomes a seed planted in fertile ground, watered by rest rather than effort.
