The Deep Understanding

In Cosmic Munay, yoga is not approached as a fitness class, but as somatic integration. The body holds the memory of our entire lives—including our traumas, our joy, and our breakthroughs. Vinyasa builds strength and moves stagnant energy through rhythmic breath, while Yin targets the deep fascia, nervous system, and connective tissues where we subconsciously hold our deepest resistance.

1

Bridge the mind-body connection, creating profound somatic safety.

2

Yin Yoga teaches deep listening, surrender, and nervous system regulation.

3

Vinyasa Yoga builds energetic flow, strength, and intentional movement.

4

Actively flush stagnant energy and emotions out of the body.

5

Acts as a physical preparation for the stillness required in ceremony.

6

Anchors floating, ungrounded spiritual energy firmly back into the Earth.

Ceremonial Journey Process

Held in a trauma-informed environment, the practice emphasizes agency, you are always invited to listen to your body over the shape of the pose. Vinyasa classes flow through dynamic sequences linking breath to movement, generating heat and focus. Yin classes involve long, supported holds on the floor, using props to allow the nervous system to fully let go. Physical adjustments are only ever offered with explicit consent.

Gentle Guidance
& Common Questions

We are happy to help guide you toward the ceremony or practice that best supports where you are on your journey. We have gathered some initial guidance to help you navigate this work with safety, respect, and peace of mind. If you feel unsure, you are always welcome to reach out.

Do I need to be flexible to attend?

Not at all. Yoga is about releasing tension, not performing contortions. Props and modifications are always provided so the practice meets you exactly where you are.

What is the difference between Yin and Vinyasa?

Vinyasa is an active, heat-building practice that flows continuously. Yin is a passive, cooling practice where seated or lying poses are held for 3–5 minutes to release deep connective tissue.

Are these classes trauma-informed?

es. Cosmic Munay honors the sovereignty of your body. We emphasize choice, never force poses, and prioritize your nervous system's feeling of safety above all else.
